Nigeria’s e-commerce market poised for growth

Euromonitor estimates that Nigeria’s total retail sales reached 25.4 trillion naira ($19 billion) in 2025, including 492 billion naira ($368 million) in online-only retail sales, up 29% year over year. DHL’s 2026 E-Commerce Trends Report groups Nigeria with Turkey and Malaysia as markets where e-commerce growth is expected to continue outpacing the global average. Jumia and Konga were the country’s highest-grossing online retailers in 2025.
