Midea Showcases Its Leadership in R290 and Sustainable HVAC Innovation at IFA 2026

At IFA 2026, Midea unveiled several sustainable HVAC and energy management solutions. The company said it has been the world’s leading manufacturer of R290 natural refrigerant air conditioners for 16 consecutive years. Since 2018, it has sold more than 10 million R290 air conditioners worldwide, reducing emissions by approximately 5.2 million tonnes of CO₂ equivalent. Its newly launched VitaBreeze won the IFA 2026 Technology Innovation Award and features AirGrid visualized airflow control and Breezeless Pro technology, increasing airflow coverage by 30%.
