Midea completes acquisition of a controlling stake in Esaote

Midea Group has completed the acquisition of a controlling stake in Italian medical imaging company Esaote. Esaote will join Midea’s healthcare division while continuing to operate as an independent global medical equipment company, with its headquarters remaining in Genoa, Italy, and its R&D and manufacturing facilities in Italy and the Netherlands. Current CEO Franco Fontana was confirmed by the new shareholder to remain in his role.
