Amazon: Austria’s B2C parcel tax takes effect October 1; €2.40 per order

Austria’s Parcel Tax Act (PakStG) took effect on October 1, 2026, imposing a fixed €2.00 tax on each B2C order delivered to Austria. Amazon will pay the tax to the Austrian tax authority on sellers’ behalf. Including 20% Austrian VAT, the total is €2.40 per order, itemized separately at checkout with a separate tax receipt. Product list prices and sales commissions are unaffected.
