Apple HomePod mini 2 goes on sale October 30 for $149, but Siri AI is missing

Apple has opened preorders for the HomePod mini 2, a $149 smart speaker that arrives in stores on October 30. Its key feature, Siri AI, will only be available in a “future software update.” Siri AI will initially support only eight English-speaking countries and will require a compatible iPhone or iPad with Apple Intelligence enabled in the home. It will not initially be available on iOS or iPadOS in the European Union.
