The wall-mounted HomeView costs more than the version with a speaker base, despite having less hardware

Apple’s wall-mounted HomeView and the version with a speaker base both cost $299, but the wall-mounted version requires separately purchased mounting accessories starting at $60. It comes only in silver and space gray, while the speaker-base version is also available in starlight and rose pink. The wall-mounted version lacks the speaker-base model’s down-firing woofer and two passive radiators, relying instead on two full-range drivers inside the display and computational audio tuned for wall mounting. HomeView is now available for preorder and goes on sale November 13.
