Amazon India Sale Orders Rise 100% Year Over Year; First 24-Hour Seller Orders Exceed Twice Last Year’s Level

Amazon India released the first figures for its 2026 Great Indian Festival, with product orders up 100% year over year and seller orders in the first 24 hours exceeding twice the level from the same period last year. The number of first-time shoppers on Amazon India rose nearly 100% year over year; more than 72% of visits came from outside India’s nine largest metropolitan areas; and the shopping app was downloaded five times as often in a single day as on a typical business day.
