HomePod mini 2 can serve as the default speaker for some Macs
AI overview
HomePod mini 2 can serve as the default speaker for Macs equipped with Wi-Fi 6E or later, either on its own or as part of a stereo pair. The previous-generation HomePod mini could be used as a Mac speaker via AirPlay, but could not be set as the default audio output, and AirPlay could introduce audio latency.
