Tesla renames FSD “Tesla Assisted Driving” in Europe as autonomous driving claims face renewed scrutiny

Tesla has renamed Full Self-Driving (FSD) to “Tesla Assisted Driving” on its European websites in Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and Slovakia, while the U.S. website retains Full Self-Driving (Supervised). The move follows Germany’s transport ministry deeming the original name misleading, with regulators in Sweden and Italy raising similar concerns. Drivers still need to remain attentive and ready to take over at any time while using the software. The EU-level approval vote has been postponed from October until at least December.
