Anthropic says its distillation defenses reduced the number of extracted reasoning tokens by about 90% to 99%

Anthropic disclosed that its defenses against distillation attacks targeting Claude reduced the amount of data obtained by distillers by about 90% to 99%. Since the classifier was launched, the number of reasoning tokens extracted on the platform has remained 10 to 100 times lower than before.
