European Commission amends Namibia’s entries in Annexes XIII and XV to Regulation (EU) 2021/404

On October 2, 2026, the European Commission adopted Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/2238, amending Namibia’s entries in Annexes XIII and XV to Regulation (EU) 2021/404. Following confirmation of an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in Namibia’s //Kharas Region on September 23, 2026, the NA-1 zone that includes the region is no longer authorized to export certain fresh meat from ungulates and processed meat products (biltong/jerky-type) to the EU. The amendment applies immediately.
