Bezos responds to rising socialism in the U.S.: The housing crisis is real, but blaming “greedy landlords” is wrong

In a Fox News interview, Bezos said he understood the rise in socialist sentiment in the U.S. and that the housing affordability crisis was real, but argued that some politicians were blaming the wrong people by pointing to “greedy landlords.” The problem, he said, was supply and demand. He cited Austin as an example, where rents and home prices fell after zoning rules were relaxed and minimum parking requirements were eliminated. A September Gallup poll found that 43% of Americans viewed socialism positively, the highest level since records began in 2010, while the share with a positive view of big business fell from 49% in 2010 to 35%.
