Canada's CBSA Issues U.S. Surtax Order 26-23, Imposing 15%, 25%, or 50% Surtax on U.S.-Origin Goods Starting September 8

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has issued Customs Notice 26-23, stating that the 2026 United States Surtax Order imposes a 15%, 25%, or 50% surtax, calculated on the duty-paid value, on certain imported goods originating in the United States starting September 8, 2026, with the applicable list set out in the schedule to the Order.
