Amazon: Austria’s B2C parcel tax takes effect October 1; €2.40 per order

Austria’s Parcel Tax Act (PakStG), effective October 1, 2026, imposes a fixed €2.00 tax on each B2C order delivered to Austria. Including 20% Austrian VAT, the total is €2.40. The tax applies to Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) orders from the France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and UK marketplaces. Amazon will remit the tax, sellers need take no action, and listing prices remain unchanged. B2B orders with a valid Austrian or EU tax number are exempt; the €2.40 can be refunded for canceled orders or orders returned in full.
