NYU Langone develops AI model NYU-DRP to predict five-year breast cancer risk using multiple years of 3D mammograms

NYU Langone Health and Perlmutter Cancer Center developed NYU-DRP, a deep learning tool that predicts five-year breast cancer risk based on longitudinal 3D mammograms (DBT) from women. It correctly ranked those at high risk 72% of the time, compared with 70% for a single 3D mammogram and 68% for AI-assisted 2D mammograms.
