European Parliament questions focus on health data governance, patient safety, and PFAS restrictions

From September 27 to October 4, 2026, the European Parliament published 7 new questions and 14 Commission replies, focusing on digital health and the European Health Data Space, patient safety and healthcare infrastructure, public health prevention, and links between the environment and health. The Commission responded on matters including expedited clinical trial assessments under the Biotechnology Act, the construction of mental health facilities in Cyprus, harmonizing limits on vitamins and minerals in food supplements, and the 30% energy-reduction threshold for food sweeteners.
