U.S. carriers support blocking Chinese telecom companies but warn that the scope of the FCC interconnection ban could cut off global traffic

The FCC sought comment on rules in WC Docket No. 26-82 that would revoke the automatic domestic Section 214 authorization for Covered List entities and prohibit U.S. carriers from interconnecting with them. The comment period closed on July 7.
