The Council of the European Union adopted Implementing Decision (EU) 2026/2230, confirming that the conditions for partial payment of the eighth tranche of the Ukraine financing plan had been met. The European Commission found that one step in the fifth tranche, three steps in the seventh tranche, and three of the seven steps in the eighth tranche had been completed, but that evidence was insufficient for one additional step in the eighth tranche. The previous seven tranches had disbursed EUR 21.64 billion to Ukraine.
