Midea showcases R290 air conditioners and sustainable HVAC innovations at IFA 2026

At IFA 2026, Midea unveiled several environmentally friendly HVAC products and energy management solutions. The company said it has been the world’s first air conditioner manufacturer to use the natural refrigerant R290 for 16 consecutive years. Since 2018, its R290 air conditioners have sold more than 10 million units worldwide, reducing emissions by approximately 5.2 million metric tons of CO₂ equivalent.
