Block CFO: AI agents may appear in organizational charts

Block CFO and COO Amrita Ahuja predicts that more companies will include AI agents in their organizational charts, with employees responsible for training and deploying these agents. She says these agents, like humans, need ongoing development, more context and information, and an understanding of goals that may change. Earlier this year, Block CEO Jack Dorsey laid off 40% of the workforce to align with the company’s accelerated adoption of AI.
