Apple’s iPhone Duo foldable brings back Touch ID, four years after the last Touch ID iPhone

Apple has brought back Touch ID on its newly announced foldable iPhone Duo. The sensor is built into the side button and can authenticate users whether the device is open or folded. It is the first new iPhone with Touch ID since the third-generation iPhone SE in March 2022, and the first time Apple has placed a fingerprint sensor anywhere other than the Home button. Preorders for the iPhone Duo open on October 16, and it goes on sale on October 23.
