Ridgeback Comet, Speed and Motion bicycles recalled due to a tyre hazard

Ridgeway is recalling Ridgeback Comet, Motion and Speed bicycles because the tyres may fail while riding, causing riders to lose control and fall. The affected products are all sizes of models sold since 2020 with serial numbers beginning with “RB21”. Consumers can contact a Ridgeback dealer to have the tyres inspected and replaced. The recall notice was submitted by a UK local Trading Standards department, and the products were found not to comply with the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
