Midea Group completes acquisition of Esaote

Midea Group has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Italian medical imaging company Esaote. Esaote will join Midea’s healthcare division while continuing to operate as an independent company, with its headquarters remaining in Genoa, Italy, and its R&D and manufacturing facilities retained in Italy and the Netherlands. Esaote had revenue of €267 million in fiscal 2025, 70% of which came from international markets, and about 1,160 employees. Franco Fontana will continue as Esaote’s CEO.
