Xbox establishes Xbox Labs to explore AI agents and game decompilation

Microsoft Xbox announced on October 13 that it had established a small internal team, Xbox Labs, made up of game creators, engineers, and scientists. Its goal is to turn emerging ideas into experiences for players and developers. The team will explore game decompilation and reconstruction experiments, including porting Windows PC versions to Apple Silicon or running them in a browser through WebAssembly and WebGPU, and will look at applications for AI agents in gaming.
