Labor negotiations at six major German ports conclude, paving the way for a return to work; sellers should watch for lingering effects of backlogs

On October 6, Germany’s Ver.di union finalized the labor negotiations, lifting the risk of an indefinite strike involving more than 11,000 dockworkers at six major ports—Hamburg, Bremen, Bremerhaven, Wilhelmshaven, Emden, and Brake. The ports have returned to normal operations.
