DMart parent Avenue Supermarts’ second-quarter net profit rose 8.5% to 742.98 million rupees.

Avenue Supermarts reported consolidated net profit of 742.98 million rupees for the September quarter, up 8.5% year over year from 684.85 million rupees. Quarterly revenue rose 17.8% to 196.44 billion rupees, while total expenses increased 18.3% to 186.327 billion rupees. First-half revenue totaled 384.7785 billion rupees, up 16.47%.
