Cirium forecasts 43,000 aircraft deliveries from 2026 to 2045, worth $3.2 trillion

Cirium’s annual fleet forecast shows that approximately 43,000 new passenger and cargo aircraft will be delivered worldwide from 2026 to 2045, with a total value of $3.2 trillion in 2026 dollars. This is down from its 2025 forecast of 46,500 aircraft worth $3.4 trillion. The global passenger aircraft fleet is expected to exceed 50,000 by 2045, with a compound annual growth rate of 3.2%. China, India, and the Asia-Pacific region together are expected to account for about 48% of passenger fleet allocation, while Airbus and Boeing together account for 86%.
