Autoliv launches Human Body Model safety suite to advance virtual crash testing, with Toyota as its first customer

Autoliv has launched the Human Body Model (HBM) Safety Suite, a virtual safety platform, with Toyota becoming the first customer to access it and evaluate its capabilities. The platform combines human biomechanical models with specialized analysis and visualization tools to simulate complex crash scenarios that are difficult to reproduce in real vehicles. It complements physical crash testing and helps automakers optimize safety performance early in development. Autoliv plans to make the platform more widely available to the industry in 2026.
