JSW Motors CEO: CAFE-III is a gradual roadmap toward green mobility

JSW Motors CEO Ranjan Nayak said CAFE-III, which takes effect next April, provides greater regulatory certainty, and its 3+2-year compliance block structure allows automakers to flexibly align their sales and powertrain strategies. The company will respond with a mix of new energy vehicles, including range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and welcomes the higher sales multipliers for NEVs and REEVs. He said the framework can help advance localization and reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels.
