UK HMRC official statistics: Commercial floorspace in non-domestic properties in England and Wales, March 2026

HMRC published statistics on commercial floorspace in England and Wales as at 31 March 2026, providing floorspace and rateable value per square metre data by industry and geographic location. The statistics cover only part of the total stock of rateable properties. The data were revised in 2025 following feedback from a public consultation, and differ methodologically from previous statistics, including in the floorspace measurement variable.
