Austria’s B2C parcel tax takes effect October 1; Amazon remits €2.40 per order

Austria’s Parcel Tax Act (PakStG) took effect on October 1, 2026, imposing a fixed €2.00 tax on every B2C order delivered to Austrian consumers. The tax applies to orders placed on Amazon’s France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and UK marketplaces, whether fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) or seller-fulfilled (FBM). Sellers need take no action; Amazon pays the tax to the Austrian tax authority.
