EU and Türkiye adopt decision on mutual recognition of AEO operators

On 16 July 2026, the EU–Türkiye Customs Cooperation Committee adopted a decision on the mutual recognition of their respective AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) programmes. Customs authorities will take into account trusted-operator status recognised by the other side when assessing risks and determining the level of customs controls.
