eBay policy update: Airbags and inflators banned, effective September 24

Starting September 24, 2026, eBay will prohibit all sellers from listing or selling airbags, airbag inflators (gas generators), and steering wheel airbag covers. On the US site, parts that do not contain airbags or inflators, such as airbag control units, crash sensors, and diagnostic modules, may be sold only by pre-approved sellers. Sellers in other regions may continue listing them. Sellers must remove relevant active, scheduled, and draft listings before September 24. After that date, eBay will remove them. Whether sellers remove the listings themselves or eBay removes them, it will not affect their account compliance records. Relisting may result in selling restrictions.
