Turkey to ban social media services for users under 15 starting November 1, 2026

Turkey has issued regulations banning domestic and foreign social media providers accessible in the country from offering services to users under 15 starting November 1, 2026. New accounts must verify their age using a token issued through the government e-government portal. Users aged 15 to 17 must use a segregated service that prohibits personalized advertising, public accounts, livestreaming, and features that continuously display visual content through scrolling or clicking.
